Annual Forest sector award 'Golden Cone' for lifetime achievement – to Senior researcher of LSFRI "Silava" Ilze Veinberga

On February 2, 2022, Committee of the Forest days noted the winners of the annual Forest sector award 'Golden Cone 2021'. Annual Forest sector award 'Golden Cone' (in Latvian: Zelta Čiekurs) are presented to people, whose daily work has brought the significant achievements, contributed to the development of forestry sector and the promotion of its sustainability.

The award for lifetime achievement will be present to the Senior researcher of LSFRI "Silava" Ilze Veinberga.

The evaluation of candidates for award is arranged by the Ministry of Agriculture, and it has two rounds. Candidates are evaluated by experts in the first round, and by the Committee of Forest Days, led by the Minister for Agriculture – in the second round.
