LSFRI "Silava" participates in project Snapshot Europe the second year. Snapshot EU is the collaborative and volunteer-based project aiming to monitor mammals across the whole Europe through the coordinated and standardized camera trap effort. The study is designed to sample the sites in all countries stratified across all habitat types and development zones (suburban/rural/wild/urban). Collaborating camera trappers provide their own cameras and monitor 10–50 sites during September–October, 2022.

Data acquisition in Latvia planned from September 1 until the end of October with 15 hidden cameras, placed in the Kalsnava forest district of Forest Research Station.
