Research assistants of LSFRI "Silava" Jānis Ivanovs and Raitis Melņiks, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Latvia, the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, JSC "Latvia’s State Forests" and the Wooden Flow Data Center participated in meeting on September 28–29, organized by Google Cloud in London, to discuss possible cooperation in the use of open data in the forest sector.

After discussions, the areas of cooperation would be:

• The forest sector strengthening in the education process,
• Creation of wood flow traceability standards on a European and global scale,
• Carbon sequestration issues.
