The 11th Global Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) Conference From Global to Local Ecosystem Services: Pathways to Nature-based Solutions Inspired from Down Under took place in Darwin (Australia) from June 23 to 27, 2025. The event brought together scientists and other stakeholders involved in the theoretical and practical aspects of ecosystem service research and the development of nature-based solutions. This year, the ESP World Conference welcomed more than 250 professionals working in the field of ecosystem services.
Several researchers of LSFRI "Silava" participated the conference with oral presentations. Senior researchers Zane Lībiete and Arta Bārdule also chaired the scientific session O7: Adaptive solutions to enhance positive synergies between forest and water ecosystems, which focused on sustainable management of water and forest ecosystems.
The following LSFRI "Silava" presentations were featured in Session O7:
- Arta Bārdule, Toms Artūrs Štāls, Linda Fībiga, Zane Lībiete: Management of riparian hemiboreal forests towards good water quality status: the case of Latvia;
