Project partners are LSFRI "Silava" (leading partner), Latvijas Finieris mežs Ltd., Society of forest owners Meža konsultants and Sodra Forest Latvia Ltd.
Total funding of Project is 295,482.15 EUR.

The goal of the Project is to develop a decision-support tool for predicting the health and productivity of plantation forests on abandoned agricultural lands. As a result, digital maps will be created to help identify problematic areas, optimize management, and promote economic development.

The Project will offer a unique tool for evaluating land management scenarios based on integrated geospatial data. Changes in tree biomass and vitality in relation to environmental conditions will be analyzed using modern technologies, LIDAR data, and machine learning. The solution will be available as a WMS service, providing data access to industry professionals, landowners, and decision-makers. It will promote sustainable forestry, enhance the understanding of environmental factors affecting forest health and productivity, and support innovations, including carbon accounting and forest stand management, strengthening competitiveness in the international market.
