On July 4, 2025, the annual member meeting of the international Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure Consortium (MIRRI-ERIC), organized by the Latvian Microbial Culture Collection, took place at the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences, University of Latvia.
During the open session of the meeting, Dārta Kļaviņa, senior researcher of LSFRI "Silava", presented the Institute's microorganism collection and related research in the fields of phytopathology and mycology.
The day before, on 3 July, MIRRI-ERIC Director Ana Portugal Melo visited LSFRI "Silava", which is a member of the MIRRI-ERIC international consortium since 2024. During the visit, she met with researchers from the Institute's Forest Phytopathology and Mycology departments and toured the Genetic Resources Centre.
