Scientific assistants of LSFRI "Silava", Agnese Anta Liepiņa and Diāna Jansone participated in the international scientific conference TRACE 2025 – Tree Rings in Archaeology, Climatology and Ecology, held in Umeå (Sweden) from June 16 to 21, 2025.
The goal of the conference was to promote knowledge exchange across scientific disciplines that apply tree-ring analysis, including dendroclimatology, forest ecology, tree physiology, dendroarchaeology, and related fields. TRACE is the annual conference of the European dendroecological network (EuroDendro), bringing together researchers from around the world to share the latest findings and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
There were two poster presentations from LSFRI "Silava" at the Conference:
- Agnese Anta Liepiņa: Effects of thinning on earlywood vessel lumen area of Quercus robur L.
- Diāna Jansone: Radial growth response to meteorological factors in native pedunculate oak and introduced Northern red oak.
