On January 7, the launch event for the calendar and mobile exhibition "Reserach Latvia 2026", organized by the Ministry of Education and Science and the science communication brand researchLatvia, took place.
The calendar "Research Latvia 2026" introduces 12 Latvian scientific institutes and their researchers, whose work promotes Latvia's visibility in the European Research Area and strengthens the country's competitiveness on an international scale. Each month of the calendar is dedicated to a different scientific institute, highlighting both the research topics and the personal stories and motivations of the researchers.
One of the featured scientists in the calendar is Dagnija Lazdiņa, senior researcher of LSFRI "Silava", her work makes a significant contribution to the development of forest science and the creation of sustainable forestry solutions.
The mobile exhibition "Research Latvia 2026" will be on display in various Latvian cities throughout the year, offering the wider public an opportunity to learn about Latvia's scientific achievements and the people behind them.
