JSC Latvia's State Forests agreement No. 3.5.5.-5.1/000A/101/11/16
The aim of the study is to promote the use of forest management solutions that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in practice, contributing to the fulfillment of the country's obligations under the UN General Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol. The direct goal is to develop a methodology for assessing and forecasting the impact of forestry activities on GHG emissions and CO2 sequestration in the main carbon stores of forest lands, as well as in the transport and energy sector in the forest management cycle in the lands owned by JSC "Latvia's State Forests".
