Project partners are Latvian Rural Consultation and Education Center (leading partner), LSFRI "Silava", Association of Latvian Forest Owners, Federation of Latvian Farmers, Forest Research Station, "Ingka Investments Management" Ltd., Association of Small Forest Owners, "Latvijas Finieris mežs" Ltd., "Sodra Latvia" Ltd. and the farm "Priedes".
Total budget is 359,682.86 EUR, incl. public funding 323,714.54 EUR; LSFRI "Silava" funding 60,070.89 EUR, incl. public funding 54,063.80 EUR.
The aim of the study is to promote a "bottom-up" approach to the additional capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) and the targeted reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in forest management, by educating and motivating forest managers in choosing forestry practices that support the achievement of the goal of climate neutrality.
